Fogar do Santiso project has been recognized as the winner in the “agriculture and livestock sector” category of the 16th AGADER Rural Development Awards, as a model of rural development that brings together innovation, culture, and sustainability in both hospitality and food production.
This year’s AGADER Awards gathered more than forty submissions from across Galicia, highlighting the vitality and diversity of the initiatives driving development in our rural environment. The awards ceremony took place at the Hotel San Francisco in Santiago de Compostela on 28 November 2025..

AGADER’s recognition not only acknowledges the project’s quality and coherence, but also reinforces its ability to inspire other initiatives working toward a more sustainable, modern and competitive rural environment. The organizers highlighted that projects like this are “a living example” of the talent, vision and strength of the people who are transforming the present and building the future of Galicia.
The second prize went to Traloagro, certified organic meat producers from Friol and long-time friends of ours — our warmest congratulations to them.
