Fogar do Santiso Compostela is an ecological restaurant that combines gastronomy, rural soul, and Galician culture in the heart of the Old Town of Santiago de Compostela. Located on the iconic Rúa do Franco, just a few meters from the Cathedral, we are the city’s only farm-to-table restaurant, offering cuisine based on sustainable local cooking with zero-kilometer products from our organic farm and local producers.

 We don’t follow the crowd! At Fogar do Santiso we’re proudly rooted, a little wild, and 100% sustainably authentic farmers. Our spaces are eco-designed with recycled and natural materials, inspired by Galician architecture and traditions. It’s the perfect stop for travelers looking to taste authentic food and connect with the local culture.

At Fogar do Santiso Compostela, we cook with the very best our land has to offer: organic vegetables from our own garden, fresh seafood from the nearby estuaries, Galician native-breed meats grilled over open flames, and the finest handcrafted desserts and ice creams. All paired with the magical brews of our Druids: organic wines, vermouth, sangría, Peregrina craft beer, and our own Fogar liqueurs. 

 Our “Cociña da Terra” (Cuisine of the Land) is rooted in tradition and based on local, organic, and seasonal ingredients, all prepared over the grill. It’s a universe of authentic Galician flavors, full of identity and deep respect for the planet.
