Fogar do Santiso Compostela

Fogar do Santiso Compostela is an eco-friendly and sustainable restaurant in Santiago de Compostela, a pioneer in Galicia of the farm-to-table concept. We are committed to local cuisine, using organic, seasonal ingredients from our own ecological farm, and offering vegan, vegetarian, and traditional options. A pet-friendly space that brings together gastronomy, rural soul, and Galician culture in the heart of Santiago de Compostela’s Old Town.

 Located on the emblematic Rúa do Franco, just a few meters from the Cathedral, we are the only farm-to-table restaurant in the city, and we are not a conventional restaurant. Our space has been designed and restored using bioconstruction and eco-design techniques, making use of original, organic, and local materials, while giving a second life to old elements that bring an authentic and distinctive character.

 Our “Cociña da Terra”  is a cuisine with roots, based on local, organic, and seasonal products from our farm in Teo, prepared on the grill. A universe of authentic flavors, with Galician identity and a commitment to the planet.

We cook with products from our own farm: organic vegetables from our garden, charcoal-grilled meats from native Galician breeds, and the freshest seafood from the estuary, sourced through our long-term partnerships with local fishermen’s guilds. We are committed to sustainable small-scale fishing and serve only seasonal shellfish from the Galician estuaries.
